Elephants Coexist with Hill Tribes Peaceably.
Blue Tao Elephant Village is not only to improve the living conditions of our rescued elephants in ethical way, but also to coexist with the Karen Hill Tribe community near our base camp. We buy some agricultural products from them to use for elephant food such as Napier grasses, sugar canes and bananas. We sponsor some village' activities such as Children's Day, help provide some equipment for the public health center. In return, they help us to protect and keep clean the community forest, jungle waterfalls, and creating a firebreak in the summer.

Pick up from your Chiang Mai hotel.
Jungle drive about 1.5 hours to Mae Wang Valley.

Blue Tao Elephant Village is located next to The North Rim of Doi Inthanon.

10:20 am

Arrival at the village. Change into a traditional elephant keeper t-shirt.

Learn about the elephant story, the daily life and health care of elephant.

10:50 am

Help cook herbal medicine rice balls for elephant's good health.
Learn how to approach elephant safely, correct ways to feed them.

11:15 am

Easy walking side by side with elephants through the lush jungle.

Reach the S Frame Waterfall, a 100 meters' high beautiful large waterfall.

12:20 pm

Lunch in the Jungle Treehouse overlooking S Frame Waterfall.

Help bathe and swimming with these intelligent elephants in the large waterfall.

01:30 pm

Set off and start easy walking back to our elephant village base camp.

Arrival at the base camp, feeding rice balls to the elephants and saying goodbye.

02:45 pm

Take a cool shower, dry off, and then change back into your own clothes.

Foot Spa session for you - Soaking your feet in warm water with herbs and salt.
